SegTurn - Design Segmented Wood Turning Projects
The SegTurn program is used to design wood turning projects that are made up of segmented rings of various woods and sizes that are glued together and turned to shape. The program supports two different styles of segmented vessels.
The first style (traditional) creates a vessel with rings of various thicknesses that typically have a variable number of segments per ring. The ring segments are either solid wood or made up of various woods to form a pattern and can be wedges, blocks or staves.
The second style (Painted) uses thin (1/8 to 1/2 inch) rings with a large number of segments of various woods per ring. This approach allows for a pattern over the entire surface of the vessel.
The program allows a combination of the two styles within the same project and both styles support open segments.

BasketIllusion - Design Basket Illusion Wood Turning Projects
The BasketIllusion program is used design wood turning projects that have patterns created on the outside and/or inside of the project by coloring cells with ink. The pattern cells are made up of small areas that are created by turning grooves and creating perpendular radial grooves across the surface. The grooves are darkened by wood burning before the cells are colored with ink.
The program can be used to create patterns on a wide variety of wood turnings such as platters, bowls and vases.
The program provides a number of initial profiles from which the user can then modify.
